Public works minister orders to strengthen monitoring of development works

Ministry of Housing and Public Works and all the departments/organizations under it have ordered to strengthen the monitoring of developmental activities. This instruction was given by the chief guest at the monthly ADP (Annual Development Program) implementation progress review meeting at the conference room of the ministry on Sunday (July 28). He asked to send the inspection report to the ministry after inspecting the development works.

In addition, he gave instructions to those concerned to take necessary steps to increase the funding in the research sector of those departments/organizations who have the opportunity to conduct research. In the government procurement program, quality domestic products, especially elevators and various electronic products manufactured in the country He gave instructions for the purchase of materials. official He asked everyone to be vigilant that the prevailing financial regulations especially PPR-2008 and Financial Bulls should be properly followed in the procurement process.

It may be noted that a total allocation of Tk 6081.80 crore was made for the Revised Annual Development Program in the financial year 2023-24. 30 June 2024 AD. Implementation of Revised Annual Development Program (ADP) till date has been 95.76% which was 88.76% during the same period last year. In this regard, the national progress this year is 80%.

In the ADP implementation progress review meeting organized under the chairmanship of Ministry of Housing and Public Works Md. Nabirul Islam, Chief Engineer of Public Works Department Md. Shamim Akhtar , Rajuk Chairman Major General (retd) Siddiqur Rahman Sarkar , Director General of Housing and Building Research Institute Ashraful Alam , Chairman of Rajshahi Development Authority Ziaul Haque along with Housing And senior officials including the heads of the Ministry of Public Works and all departments/organizations under it were present.
