Public petition against a fraudster in Rajbari

47 people of that union have signed a petition against one Moniruzzaman Rubel, who is not a local resident of Banibah Union of Rajbari, but is using the name and address of Banibah, and has damaged the image of the area.
Banibaha Union Parishad Chairperson Shefali Akhtar has requested Rajbari Superintendent of Police to provide confirmation and take action against that person in view of the public signature. Chairman Moshe Shefali Akhtar confirmed the matter when he spoke about it on June 28.
On June 4, Banibah Union Parishad’s written pad mentions Md. Moniruzzaman Rubel NID No. 198626696406000412, father Md. Bayez Uddin Mata-Rokeya, he is currently engaged in various misdemeanors using the address of Banibah Union Parishad. I don’t know him personally. To my knowledge, the above person has no permanent address in Banibh. He is degrading the law and order of the union by indulging in various misdeeds. ‘
Mocha Shefali Akhter, chairman of Banibah, said that Moniruzzaman Rubel is a fraud. Rubel got married to Mosha Rekha, daughter of deceased Majid Sheikh of Banibah Union through mobile phone. After that, this fraud named Md. Moniruzzaman Rubel stole several lakhs of rupees from various people by saying that his relatives live in America.
On 15th December 2023, Rajbari filed a case of fraud against this fraudster under section 406/420/506 of the Penal Code at the Sadar Police Station. Rajbari Sadar police station case no-31.
The complaint was filed by Md Ali Hossain Khan, son of deceased Abul Hossain Khan of Mahishbathan area of Banibah Union of Rajbari Sadar Upazila. Later SI Abul Hossain of Rajbari Sadar police station arrested him from Morjina’s house in Bertha area of Banibah. After coming out of jail, Moniruzzaman Rubel filed 9 cases against two local people named Amjad and Bilkis.
Chairman of Banibah Union Parishad Mocha Shefali Akhtar said, I have given confirmation to the Superintendent of Police as they are damaging the image of the area by coming to my area. It is my responsibility to keep the residents of my union safe and well. I want this cheater to be prosecuted. I heard that the address and NID card used by this Moniruzzaman Rubel in Dhaka is also wrong. I have that paper. The ID card used by him has been seen in the election commission paper that there is no ID card in his name. He also said, “I went to the Superintendent of Police and gave the confirmation letter so that people of such Rohingya nature cannot commit any crime in my union.” The Superintendent of Police listened to my matter very attentively and assured me of speedy action.’
