A day-long public hearing was held at the Comilla District Shilpakala Academy auditorium on Wednesday, January 29 from 10 am, organized by the Anti-Corruption Commission, in collaboration with the district administration and the District Corruption Prevention Committee.

Comilla Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Md. Amirul Kaiser presided over the function, with Anti-Corruption Commission Chairman Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen present as the chief guest, Anti-Corruption Commission Commissioner (Investigation) Mian Muhammad Ali Akbar Azizi, Commissioner (Investigation) Brigadier General (Retd) Hafiz Ahsan Farid present as special guests. Comilla District Anti-Corruption Committee President Shah Mohammad Alamgir Hossain, Comilla District Police Superintendent Nazir Ahmed Khan also spoke at the function.
The first public hearing of the Anti-Corruption Commission was held in Comilla after August 5 to increase social awareness against corruption and prevent corruption. In the first public hearing of the current commission of the ACC, the aggrieved public who were harassed or deprived of services in various government offices presented their complaints before the senior officials of the ACC in the presence of the heads of all government departments of Comilla. At the same time, an immediate decision was taken by the ACC on the complaints raised by the deprived public. The main intention of the public hearing was to eliminate corruption from the country by ensuring access to government services and increasing honesty, integrity, accountability and values ​​among government officials. The public hearing was attended by citizens from all walks of life, including officials of various government departments of Comilla.
