Public awareness and “clean up program” initiative has been taken up by the common students of Barura Upazila of Comilla.
On Saturday, August 10, at ten in the morning, with the overall support of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nur Mong Marma Mong, the students of various public universities, schools and colleges did various social works including cleaning the streets of the upazila, traffic control, market monitoring.
The students of different levels have performed the duty of traffic to maintain order in Barura Bazar traffic jam. Meanwhile, buses, CNG, vans, motorcycles and other vehicles were moving in order on the road. They are forced to obey the rules of the road so that no one breaks the rules and drives the vehicles.
Mohammad Faisal Hossain (Jagannath University), Osman Gani (Comilla University), Saiful Islam (Dhaka University), Rakib Hasan (Rajshahi University), Oli Rani Das (Bangladesh Army International Science and Technology University), Nusrat Jahan participated in this work regardless of party affiliation. Tamanna (Barura Shahid Smriti Government College), Nipa Akhtar (Barura Shahid Smriti Government College) along with general students.
Locals have welcomed such initiative of students at the upazila level.
