Anger has spread across the country due to the President’s controversial comments on Sheikh Hasina’s resignation letter. Students of the anti-discrimination movement protested against this controversial comment and demanded the resignation of President Shahabuddin Chuppur.
A protest march led by Coordinator Kazi Nasir took out from Companyganj Badiul Alam Degree College in Muradnagar Upazila of Comilla District on Tuesday afternoon.
The procession circled the Companyganj-Muradnagar road and Companyganj-Navinagar road and blocked the Comilla-Sylhet highway.
Meanwhile, the agitators started chanting various slogans demanding the resignation of the President. Students say the embattled president must resign as soon as possible. Otherwise they warned that they will demand through street agitation.
Kazi Nasir, Siam Khan, Kaya, Afrin Sultana spoke on the occasion. Also present on this occasion were students Abdur Rahman Ujjal, Arfin Shubo, Nahid, SM Shariful Islam, Ashiq, Nipu and hundreds of protesting students of Badiul Alam Degree College.
