Comilla Desk: Locals have held a protest march and human chain to protest the planned conspiracy, propaganda and harassment involving Tanvir Ahmed Rahul, the acting chairman of Comilla’s Panchthubi Union, and his family.
On Saturday (March 30) morning, a human chain was held in front of the Comilla Press Club on the initiative of people from all walks of life in Panchthubi Union. People from different classes and professions participated in it.
The participants in the human chain strongly condemned the false and purposeful propaganda against Tanvir Ahmed Rahul and demanded strict action against the culprits.
The speakers at the human chain said, “Tanvir Ahmed Rahul is an honest, sincere and dedicated public representative. Behind the ongoing propaganda and conspiracy against him, there are evil circles who want to achieve personal interests. We are protesting against such lies and harassment and demanding a fair investigation from the administration and exemplary punishment for the guilty.”
After the human chain, a huge protest procession was taken out, which circled the important roads of the city and ended at Panchthubi Union Parishad. The participants in the procession kept shouting slogans like ‘Stop the conspiracy’, ‘We want justice for the propagandists’, ‘Establish justice’ etc.
The locals said that they are with Tanvir Ahmed Rahul and will unite against any conspiracy. They urged the administration to ensure that no innocent person falls victim to the conspiracy and that the real culprits are identified through proper investigation.
This incident has created widespread anger among the locals. Everyone has unanimously declared to stand against this injustice and pledged to stand for truth and justice in any situation.
