Students have held a protest march and human chain in Kalapara, Patuakhali, demanding the immediate arrest of terrorists involved in murder, rape, violence against women and kidnapping across the country and restoring the law and order situation to normal.
The anti-rape and violence protest rally was held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, organized by students from all walks of life in Kalapara. The students started the protest march from Shaheed Surendra Mohan Chowdhury Road adjacent to Kalapara Press Club, wearing black clothes. After the procession circled the main roads of the city, the human chain was held in front of the Press Club.
Nazrul Islam, president of the Amara Kalapara Basi organization, students Bayezid and Mila, spoke at the human chain. The speakers said that the law and order situation across the country has deteriorated drastically. No one is safe from the street to the front of their homes. Women are not safe anywhere. Therefore, he demanded that the Home Affairs Advisor say that if the law and order situation is not normalized immediately, people will be forced to take to the streets again.
