Acting principal, teachers, students and parents of Govt Nazrul Degree College Trishal, Mymensingh issued a statement condemning the publication of false, baseless and fictitious news motivated by a mahal motive against Acting Principal Zainab Rekha and her husband former Civil Surgeon Dr. Mahbubul Haque.
The students, parents and teachers of Government Nazrul College said that Zainab Rekha, acting principal of the college, is highly respected in all circles as an honest, efficient and responsible administrator. Acting principal Zainab Rekha has always worked for the development of the college and the welfare of students. The concerned journalist has already made it clear in a video on social media that the professor and his followers have been reported by a journalist in a manipulative way. As a result, the news reports against the Acting Principal have been proved to be intentional, false and conspiratorial.
According to college teachers and local sources, the government Nazrul College is located at Trishal bus stand on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, the heart of Trishal town. As the college campus area is a populated and commercial area, a commercial building was constructed along the eastern boundary of the college. There is a raw market which is known as college market. Several commercial establishments including banks, restaurants are located there. It was built in 2011 and is commercially leased. Income received from the college market is credited to the college. which is spent on the development work of the college. After nationalization/nationalization of the college, all income and expenditure accounts of the college are being deposited in the government treasury. Another assistant professor pressured the senior teacher Zainab Rekha not to take responsibility as the second acting principal after the college was made official and revealed her incompetence. Ignoring all the pressure and influence, Zainab Rekha took charge as the acting principal. Improving the quality of education in the college, He contributed greatly to security. Acting Principal Zainab Rekha became the confidant of all teachers, parents and students. At that time, the assistant professor of the college started spreading false, corporate news and fake ID on Facebook day after day by giving a journalist with various false, fabricated, fake and baseless information. which spoils the reputation of the college.
Acting principal of the college Zainab Rekha said, I am fulfilling the responsibility assigned to me with utmost honesty. I started my career in this college as a lecturer in Biology since 1994. I got responsibility as Acting Principal in 2023. Now regular classes, exams and class activities are going on. Students are following the rules. The quality of education has been improved. It is now recognized as Adarsh ​​College. A circle is conspiring to degrade me socially. They are spreading fake stories about me and my husband. I never wasted a penny on college. No income by dishonest means. My husband is a very honest and humane person. He was a civil surgeon. We have wide recognition and acceptance in the society. We have built a house far away from Mymensingh city through the income of both of us, the sale of my father’s property and loans, that too step by step in 14 years. We have been socially degraded by the fictional news environment about it. I strongly protest and condemn it. In this way, no one’s dignity should be hurt.
Acting principal Zainab Rekha’s husband is a former civil surgeon, former deputy director Dr. Md. Mahbubul Haque said, I started my career as a doctor from 29/06/1984. In my working life till 2016 I served as Medical Officer, Consultant, Lecturer, Upazila Family Planning Officer, Civil Surgeon and lastly retired as Deputy Director of Ministry of Health. I have never earned a single penny immorally in my long career. I have lived an honest and earthly life. For that, there is no complaint against me anywhere in my working life. In 1997, I purchased a 22 percent low-lying land along the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway outside the Mymensingh municipality. I have purchased a total of 33 percent land in three phases for 19 lakh 90 thousand taka. I started housework in 2007. I was able to complete the work of the 6-storey house step by step in 14 years. While building this house, I have sold all my savings, my father’s property, my wife’s property from my father’s house and all my assets. I even took a loan from the bank. Finally, I spent my pension money on building a house. My family and I have been socially humiliated by such fake news against me day after day. Not only in newspapers but also from unknown fake IDs, false fabrications are written which are highly offensive. I am traumatized by being humiliated like this day after day. I want justice.
Nazrul College Senior Lecturer Yahya Mahmud said that the principal madam is very honest, polite and efficient administrator. It has been two years since he took office. Since he took charge, the quality of education in the college has improved. The environment of the college is improved and clean. Teachers, students and parents all trust him. The allegations against him are false, bogus and baseless and fictitious. We strongly protest against it.
Ishrat Jahan, senior lecturer of the college, said that after Zainab Rekha took charge of the acting principal, the environment is very beautiful with the improvement of the infrastructure and the quality of education. She is carrying out her duties with principles and ideals.
Trishal Upazila Executive Officer Jewel Ahmed said, as far as I know Zainab Rekha, Acting Principal of Government Nazrul College, is an honest, efficient and good person. I have not seen any irregularities, corruption or waste while performing the duties of the President. I have heard the complaints against her. I am not sure about this
