Special Correspondent: Dhaka University Social Thinking Research Center (DUSTR) Executive Committee for the term of 2025-2028 has been formed. Poet, sociologist, and roots-seeking writer Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam Tamiji elect as the Chairman while Dr. Hamida Khanam, a supernumerary professor at Dhaka University, elect as the Secretary General. On Friday, April 18, 2025, at 10 a.m., a council was held at the Dhaka University Student Teacher Center to form the committee.
Professor Nurul Amin Chowdhury, Dr. Forkan Uddin Ahmed, former student leader Morol Ziaur Rahman elect as the Vice Chairman. Engineer Mohammad Nowshadul Haque as the Senior Joint Secretary General, Women’s leader Professor Naila Islam and Dr. Toufiq Reza Khan as the Joint Secretary General, Senior Journalist of Dainik Inqilab Mohammad Abdul Wadud as the Organizing Secretary, Ariful Islam as the Office Secretary, Moin Khan as the Finance secretary, Sadia Taslim as the Social Welfare Secretary, Jasim Uddin Saikat as the Youth  Secretary, Tanmoy Sarkar as the Sports Secretary , Ashiq Ullah Sarkar as the Cultural Secretary, Priyanka Biswas Pinky as the Publicity and Publication secretary, Amrin Akter Promi as the International Secretary, Nahid Hasan Nabil as the Program  Secretary, Sarzia Ferdousi, Anisur Rahman Mir, Maqsuda Akhter (Mitu) and Tania Akhter unanimously elect as the Executive  Members.
In a response, the newly elected chairman Professor Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam Tamiji said, “The new committee is committed to developing the Dhaka University Social Thinking Research Center as a full-fledged research institution by maintaining contact with the current government, national and international organizations.
