A young man named Sheikh Amir, who participated in the procession, said, “Today is our happy day, a day of joy.” But we are protesting the injustice being done to our brothers and sisters in Palestine. We pray that they too can live in peace.
He said, just as we are celebrating Eid with our families at home, the Palestinians should also celebrate Eid with their families. Just as I came to pray with my child, they can also do the same.
Sheikh Amir also said, Palestinians are being subjected to severe torture and oppression. Innocent children are being killed. Isn’t this a crime? Israel should show humane treatment to children. We have taken to the streets today in solidarity with the children who lost their lives in the Israeli attack.
