Nazmul Huda Shahenshah and his family held a press conference in Tangail Press Club on Monday, March 27, protesting false cases and harassment. He is the son of deceased Shah Shamchul Huda of Beltia Bari area of Gala Union of Tangail Sadar Upazila. In a written statement at the press conference, Nazmul Huda Shahenshah said that some people including Shah Naya Mia’s son Shah Safi and Shah Kafi of the same area are engaged in trying to humiliate them socially. My elder brother, mother, sister, are staying abroad. Meanwhile uncles, cousins are engaged in jobs and business. Shah Safi has sold 14 percent of their land to our brothers based on Sub-Kabla Deed No. 7016 and 9339 as they are not earning any income in public. The B,S certificate and current rent waiver of the said land has been finalized in our name. As the sold land Shah Safi and Shah Kafi are engaged in illegal expropriation of the land in a terrorist manner, there have been several cases and several court hearings in the presence of local dignitaries including the local chairman. But with the presence of terrorists and Mastans in the area of Shah Safi and with the ill-advisedness of his instigators, there is an evil intention to make me and my family members socially inferior. In continuation of this, on March 15, Rasheda Begum, her husband, Ashraful Alam, Sang-Alipur, Dakghar-Patal, Thana-Kalihati, has been harassing us with false allegations including killing us. Eti has also harassed by filing three false cases before. All these three cases were proved to be false. We are living in a helpless condition under threat and disgraced by the immoral activities of those terrorists in the area. In a press conference at Tangail Press Club, the victim’s family also said that they have already asked Tangail District Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), AC Land, Tangail Sadar Police Station OC and Gala Union Parishad Chairman for justice and peace and order for the family. An application has been made by When asked about this matter from the chairman of Gala Union Parishad, Md. Nazrul Islam Khan, he said that there is a little dispute between their families regarding support assets, due to which a case has been litigated. Recently, I have come to know that Rasheda Begum, a tenant of that area, was burnt by some people and filed a complaint with the police station in a trivial incident. As far as I know this is a common occurrence with arguments. The victims told me about it. If both parties come willingly, then we can take action.
