Press conference of anti-discrimination students in Rajbari

Ordinary students of the anti-discrimination student movement held a press conference on 16-point demands in Rajbari.

The press conference was organized at Rajbari Press Club on Monday (August 12) morning. Rajeev Molla, a fourth year student of Political Science Department of Rajbari Government College, read the written speech.

Ananya Khatun, a student of Bangla Department, Tayeba, a student of Rajbari Government Adarsh Women’s College, Rudra Molla and Sabbir Gazi, students of class 10 of Government Technical School and College and others were present.

Common student’s logical demands are:

1. Illegal structures and shops built in the vicinity of the city, in Rajbari district town including inner market, along with the railway gates should be removed and the government premises should be freed from encroachment.

2. No shopkeeper can operate his shop by occupying the footpath, we demand to free the footpath for pedestrians.

3. In order not to create garbage and waterlogging in the city, the drains of the city should be cleaned during the monsoon season. Plastic dustbins should be provided on the side of the road.

4. Covering Railgate footover bridge with banners, posters of different political parties, Banners and posters should be removed from various walls of the city and cities after the election.

5. Adequate steps should be taken to stop all drug dealing including liquor, ganja, yaba at different places in Rajbari district including various abandoned buildings, loco sheds around the city.

6. In the name of municipal parking, any auto or rickshaw owners should be stopped.

7. The price of daily necessities in the market has not been fixed by the government yet, so don’t harass the businessmen brothers by seeing the wrong prices. And I appeal to the brothers of businessmen, to sell products at fair prices and to keep the prices of all daily necessities at a tolerable level.

8. A designated place should be made for dumping city garbage, garbage etc. Garbage should not be dumped on the side of New Bazar road or on the side of highway in Sreepur Bazar, it emits a bad smell in the air or is very harmful to the environment. Appropriate steps should be taken for these.

9. Various health clinics established in Rajbari city including Rajbari Sadar Hospital, harassing patients in hospitals, charging extra money in the name of various tests and keeping patients in dirty environments should be stopped immediately, appeal to the hospital and clinic authorities to keep them clean. telling

10. Educational environment should be ensured in schools, colleges and educational institutions, and extra money should be stopped from ordinary students in the name of unnecessary programs other than school salary, examination fee.

11. Coaching centers and tuition trade of teachers in all government schools and colleges should be stopped, and nepotism in educational institutions should be stopped.

12. All schools, colleges, madrasas and all educational institutions must keep campus politics free. Political activities and programs should be stopped inside all educational institutions and by occupying student playgrounds.

13. All educational institutions including Rajbari Government College, Adarsh Mahila College, Dr. Abul Hossain College, during the day during the examination period, should stop honking car horns, any microphone, sound box of propaganda or programs from nearby roads.

14. All training including driving, electrical, automobile, technical institutes, youth development and TTC should be given to their own people, all irregularities including nepotism should be stopped and unethical transactions, bribery etc. should be stopped. will be

15. The broker inside the passport office has to be stopped violently. Taking extra money from expatriate brothers for getting passports, bribery or leaving his work for 1-2 months if he does not go to the broker should be stopped immediately.

16. Request to all brothers of press, TV media, always to publish objective and true news. And specifically calling for truth to be presented as truth and falsehood as falsehood.

A call is made to the local district administration, the army and all ordinary citizens who have been given the responsibility of the interim government to implement the 16-point demands of the anti-discrimination student movement and common students. ‘
