Sharifa Begum Shiuli, Rangpur Correspondent : A press conference was held in protest against the forced possession of the owner’s shop in Ward No. 21 area opposite to Shapla Chatur Rahman Pump in Rangpur city even after the expiry of the lease agreement period without paying rent for 9 years.
He organized this press conference in the hall of Rangpur Reporters Unit on Rangpur Govt College Road on Tuesday (November 5) afternoon.
Irina Nahar, the victim, read the written statement in the said press conference and said, the schedule of my father’s ancestral land: Alamnagar Mauza, JL No-96, Khatian No-16417, Dag No-3004, 3005, 3006, the amount of land is 0.1225 acres. Md Golam Mahbub, Md Bakul Mia, Irene Parveen, Chandana Sarkar have been occupying Jabar for the last 9 years even after the expiry of the lease agreement of 5 proprietary shops.
When my father was alive he entered into a shop lease agreement with them. But since my father died in 2015, they have not released any new contract, rent or shop house with me. I told them thousands of times in these 9 years and it didn’t work. Rather, they are the ones who have threatened me.
I have no father, mother, brother and sister in my family. Everyone is dead. i am an orphan Therefore, taking advantage of the orphan’s simplicity, Golam Mahbub, Bakul Mia, Irene Parveen and Chandana Sarkar have been occupying Jabar for 9 years without giving any contract, rent and shop and showing various forms of intimidation.
I seek justice through you to the Chief Adviser to the Interim Government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus. i am an orphan Let me return the right of this orphan. I strongly demand that those who are doing such injustice to me be brought under the law and provide exemplary punishment.
