Housewives’ press conference against physical and mental torture for dowry in Chapainawabganj.
On Wednesday (November 15) afternoon, housewife Halima Khatun gave a written statement in an office press conference in front of Shahneyamtullah College in Chapainawabganj district city.
In the press conference, he said that Abu Bakkar Siddiqui Roni (27), son of Abu Hayat of Chapainawabganj Municipality, Haripur Board Ghar Mohalla, was married to Saa, and the physical and mental torture and beating for dowry began before five months had passed. Keeping his family in mind, his father gave 2 lakh 40 thousand rupees. Yet they were not happy. Then on November 13 of this month, the people of the husband’s house kicked him out of the house. He said that he had a 3-month-old baby.
When asked about the mobile phone issue from husband Roni, he said that the allegations against him are completely false. He said that his wife has been making trouble for not staying with my parents. Quoting the locals, his wife told him that if she wants to have a family with him, she will have to rent a separate house. He said these things that he had falsely accused that he did not agree to accept the matter.
