A preparatory meeting was held on the occasion of Pahela Baisakh celebration in Paba Upazila of Rajshahi. Before this, the monthly meeting of law and order committee was organized by the upazila administration. Upazila Executive Officer Lasmi Chakma presided over the preparatory meeting organized by the upazila administration at Paba Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Monday (April 10) to celebrate Pahela Baisakh. Assistant Commissioner (Land) Abhijit Sarkar, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Arzia Begum and Wazed Ali Khan, Nowhata Municipality Panel Mayor Azizul Haque were the guests. Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Asaduzzaman, Upazila Education Officer Rafiqul Islam, Upazila Social Service Officer Zahid Hasan Russell, Upazila Rural Development Officer Shamsunnahar, Upazila Women Affairs Officer Shimul Billah Sultana, Upazila Youth Development Officer MMN Zahurul Islam, Upazila Rural Livelihood Project Officer Nazrul were present. It is to be noted that during the monthly meeting of the law and order committee in the upazila, various issues related to the preparation of Pahela Baisakh including prevention of smuggling, drug trafficking, prevention of terrorism and vandalism, prevention of human trafficking, prevention of women and children abuse, prevention of child marriage, prevention of cyber crime were discussed.
