Zakir Hossain Goland Rajbari: A preparatory meeting was held on the occasion of Martyr Intellectuals Day and Great Victory Day at Goland in Rajbari.
The preparatory meeting was held in the Upazila Parishad conference room on Wednesday (December 4) at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Goland Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jyoti Bikas Chandra presided over the meeting.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Asaduzzaman was also present, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Goland Ghat Police Station Md. Rakibul Islam, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Sharmin Ahmed Tithi, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Masudur Rahman,
Upazila Social Service Officer Ruhul Amin, Women Affairs Officer Salma Begum, Rabeya Idris Women’s College Principal Quader Sheikh, Former Freedom Fighter Commander Samad Mollah, Upazila Agriculture Officer Khokonuzzaman, Upazila Primary Education Officer Kabir Hossain etc.
Meanwhile, various committees and sub-committees were formed to make the two National Days a success. Besides, government officials of various departments, freedom fighters, representatives of various educational institutions were present in the meeting.
Based on the opinion of the delegates present in the preparatory meeting, it was decided to observe Martyr Intellectuals Day, Great Victory Day, Vijay Mela and Drama Competition with great enthusiasm and due dignity and the celebration committee was discussed to celebrate the day beautifully and peacefully.
