Prayer and Iftar Mahfil for underprivileged children in Comilla

In order to attract the attention of charitable and humane people of the society to stand by the side of underprivileged orphan children and extend a helping hand to them, a prayer and iftar mahfil was held for underprivileged children at the initiative of Drishtant Foundation, Comilla and Cat’s Home, Comilla.
Upazila Executive Officer Md. Abul Hasnat Khan was the chief guest at the prayer and iftar mahfil at Debidwar Government Children’s Home on Tuesday.
The event, organized with the overall support of the sponsor organization Global Television, Comilla, was graced by the welcoming speech of Rota: Mohammad Saif Uddin Roni, founder of Drishtan Foundation, Comilla, and Cat’s Home, Cat’s Home.
The event, chaired by the Deputy Superintendent of the Children’s Home, Barun Chakraborty, was attended by special guests, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Raihanul Islam, Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shamsuddin Elias, Youth Development Officer Harunur Rashid, Dainik Kaler Kantha’s representative, veteran journalist ABM Atiqur Rahman Bashar, doctors Sheikh Md. Shahjalal, and Kamrul Hasan.
Present at the program, hosted by Assistant Teacher Abul Hashem, were journalists Md. Masud Rana, Md. Enamul Haque, Fakhrul Islam Sagar, Shahin Alam, Faruk Hossain Johnny, Md. Nesar Uddin, Md. Mahfuz Ahmed, Anwar Hossain, Nazmul Hasan, Municipal Volunteer Party Joint Convener Sujon Sarkar, businessman Jahangir Alam, document writer Hafizur Rahman, insurance worker Nowshad Chowdhury, camera person Saiful Islam Sajib, businessman Russell Ahmed Qari Saiful Islam and many others.
Chief guest Mohammad Abul Hasnat Khan said, ‘It feels great to be able to attend the prayer and iftar mahfil with orphaned children who have lost their parents. It is our fortune to enjoy the joy with them. Such an arrangement will encourage others to come forward for good deeds. I would like to thank Global Television, Comilla, Drishtan Foundation, Comilla and Cat’s Home for organizing this event with orphaned children.
Drishtant Foundation, Comilla and Cat’s Home Founder Rota: Mohammad Saif Uddin Roni said, “Today’s prayer and iftar mahfil is part of various activities to attract the attention of charitable and humane people of the society to stand by the side of underprivileged orphan children and extend a helping hand to them. This program is worthwhile only if even one person comes forward to help the orphans around him after seeing this program. In addition, Drishtant Foundation organizes various events for these children on special days, including distribution of high-quality food, distribution of sports equipment, pitha, basant, and fruit festivals. This continuity will continue in the future.”
