Under the supervision of Regional Office Barisal, under the supervision of Regional Office Barisal, trees have been planted in Rajapur of Jhalkathi with the full cooperation of Rajapur Upazila Branch.
On Tuesday (November 12) at noon, poet Jibananda Das’ memory was buried on the bank of Dhansindi River in the premises of “Poet Jibananda Das Collection and Library. Coconut tree saplings were planted adjacent to Upazila Model Mosque and Rajapur Government College campus. Also, 1000 coconuts were planted in 249 educational institutions of Rajapur Upazila. The guests distributed saplings.
Rajapur Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Rahul Chand presided over the event and Barisal Region Deputy General Manager and Regional Head Md. Ruhul Amin was the chief guest.
