Police have recovered a stolen Easybike in Pirojpur and arrested an active member of an inter-district theft gang. Pirojpur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Rabiul Islam said that on April 16, at around 7 am, easy bike rider Biplob Mirbar, son of Hiron Mirbar from Jujkhola area of Sadar Upazila, left his easy bike in front of the LGED office and went to a nearby shop for tea. When he returned after a while, he found that the easy bike had been stolen.
Immediately after learning about the matter, a police team led by Pirojpur Sadar Police Station SI Abdur Rahim conducted an operation. During the operation, the stolen Easybike was recovered from the Jujkhola area. At the same time, Milan Mollah (30), an active member of the inter-district theft gang, was arrested.
The arrested Milan Molla is the son of Abul Kashem Molla of Joynagar village in Bagharpara upazila of Jessore district. He has multiple theft cases against him in various police stations across the country, said OC Md. Rabiul Islam.
He also said that multiple police teams are continuing their investigation to determine if anyone else is involved in this theft. A case has been filed with Pirojpur Sadar Police Station in this incident.
