People will benefit if communication system improve

On the east bank of the river in the Dinajpur municipality area, Ward No. 11 is in the west of Biral Upazila Gani Mor. Purnabhaba river in the middle, 2 railway bridges located at this place, one bridge is lying abandoned, trains are plying through the newly constructed new bridge, and if this abandoned bridge is renovated, Biral No. 7 Bijora Union, No. 11 Palash Bari Union will be connected to Dinajpur Municipal Road. If done, the residents of Biral Upazila including Dinajpur Sadar will enjoy various benefits including exchange of agricultural products, business and trade, quick access to Dinajpur city by ambulance vehicles and emergency medical care, school/college Padua students going to school and college in less time.

No. 11 Palash Bari UP Chairman Khairul Islam Khokon, No. 7 Odd UP Chairman Md. Amjad Hossain, prominent Samaj Sevak Nandit leader Hussain Noor Zaman, Alhaj Asadullah said, approximately 2 lakh people live in these two unions, we have to go around two and a half kilometers from the Purnabhaba river railway bridge and cross the new bridge in the city. Similarly, the people of the city have to travel a long distance to these union areas, we have high cost of transportation of daily food products including paddy, rice, wheat, corn, ginger, garlic, onion, pepper, vegetables. Renovating this abandoned railway bridge to facilitate transportation will reduce the cost of transporting agricultural products. In a short time, easy access to the city, access of the city people to the rare upazilas, school/college students/girls going to the library, business and trade will be improved in various ways, people from all over will be benefited. 5 basic human needs will be fulfilled.

Bir is a resident of Daptari Para area of Ward No. 11 of Dinajpur Municipal Area Freedom Fighter Md. Based Khalasi, Alhaj Md. Nuruddin, Md. Sheikh Dulu, Dr. Asadullah told this correspondent that during the flood in 1987, Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Begum Sajeda Chowdhury and late M. Abdur Rahim, father of Dinajpur Sadar (3) Constituency MP, Whip Iqbal Rahim, visited Daptari Para, an area adjacent to the railway bridge on Purnabhaba river.

Before the last 12th parliament election, Honorable Minister of State for Shipping, Mr. Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury promised for the development of the people in Gani Mor area on the other side of the river. He said that for the convenience of the people, the abandoned bridge will be renovated and connected to Dinajpur city.

Residents of Dinajpur Municipality and Birol Upazila have requested the attention of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Railway Minister Zillul Hakim, State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Whip Iqbalur Rahim of Jatiya Sangsad and take necessary measures.
