Fish rice allocated by the government was distributed among fishermen in Galachipaya sadar union of Patuakhali. Meanwhile, the government allocated 114 tons of rice at the rate of 86 kg in 2 installments of 30 kg and 56 kg to 1308 fishermen from among 2615 fishermen of Galachipa Sadar Union. In the presence of Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Zahirunnabi and Sadar Union Chairman Md. Jahangir Hossain Tutu, rice was distributed throughout the day in a beautiful environment and in a peaceful manner on Tuesday at 10 am.
Md. Chunnu Mia, President of Upazila Fishermen’s Party, BNP leaders Kamal Hossain, Zakir Hossain, Jamaat leaders and all the members of the union and reserved women members were also present.
