Awama League’s nominated candidate in the Patuakhali-1 (Sadar-Mirzaganj-Dumki) seat of the 11th National Assembly, the organizing secretary of the Central Awami League, the former VP Advocate May. Afzal Hossain. Advocate Afzal Hossain, the nominated candidate of Bangladesh Awami League, submitted his nomination to District Returning Officer District Commissioner Md Noor Qutubul Alam at 1.10 pm on Wednesday (November 1). District Awami League President Bir Muktijodha Kazi Alamgir, General Secretary Bir Muktijodha VP Abdul Mannan, Joint General Secretary Sadar Upazila Chairman Adv. Golam Sarwar, Member of Parliament for Patuakhali-3 (Galachipa-Dashmina) Constituency SM Shahzada MP, Barguna-2 Constituency Shaukat Hachanur Rahman Rimon Rimon, Barisal-4 Constituency MP Pankaj Nath, District Awami League Joint General Advocate Shailen Chandra Chand, Central Farmers League Senior Organizing Secretary Advocate Gazi Jasim Uddin, Patuakhali Press Club President Swapan Banerjee, Sadar Upazila Awami League President Md. Humayun Kabir, General Secretary BM Shahjahan Parvez, District Volunteer League President. Shahanur Haque, General Secretary Advocate Rifat Hasan Sajib along with hundreds of leaders-activists and well-wishers of various organizations including District Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League, Sramik League, Women Awami League. District Returning Officer District Commissioner Md Noor Qutubul Alam confirmed that only one nomination form was sold and only one nomination was filed in this by-election. Prakash, on Saturday 21st October, Member of Parliament of Patuakhali-1 Constituency and former Minister of State for Religion Ad. As Shahjahan Mia Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) passed away while undergoing treatment, this year was declared void. There are 4 lakh 73 thousand 256 voters in the Patuakhali-1 constituency with 3 upazilas and 1 municipality. Among them 2,38,460 women voters and 2,34,788 male voters.
