National Fisheries Week was celebrated in Rajbari’s panchayat with colorful rallies, release of fish fry and discussion meeting with the slogan “Bharbo Mache Moder Desh Garbo Smart Bangladesh”.
On this occasion, today Wednesday (July 31) at around 11 o’clock, the rally came out from the front of the Upazila Parishad square and went around the main road and ended at Shilpa Kala intersection, after which the fish fry were released in the upazila pond. After the release of the fish fry, a discussion meeting was held at the Shilpakala Academy organized by the Upazila Fisheries Office.
Under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Mohammad Zafar Sadiq Chowdhury, Upazila Parishad Chairman Khandkar Saiful Islam Buro, Female Vice Chairman Dilruba Parveen Iti, Fisheries Officer Saeed Ahmed, Upazila Project Implementation Officer (PIO) Md. Aslam Hossain, social service officer Rabiul Alam, cooperative officer Saiful Islam and various fishermen and farm owners were present.
