Aminul Islam Sohag (40), president of Awami League, Ward No. 4, Udaipur Union No. 4, Kalai Upazila, Joypurhat District, cut off his right leg by BNP worker Waduud and his people, due to the conflict over the eastern dispute and dominance of the area and the Truck Workers Federation. Sohag Mia’s right leg was cut off and the other right leg was crushed.
The incident happened on Saturday (November 16) at around 7 pm in the Nunuj market of the upazila. Later, Sohag Miah was taken to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital with serious injuries and was transferred to Pangu Hospital in Dhaka for better treatment.
