On the occasion of Great Victory Day, the best children of the nation were felicitated in Golanda Upazila of Rajbari. On Monday (December 16) at 11 a.m., the reception ceremony was held at the upazila parishad auditorium on the initiative of the upazila administration.
Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Acting Upazila Executive Officer Md presided over the event. Asaduzzaman. It was attended by the family members of brave freedom fighters, war wounded freedom fighters and martyred freedom fighters.Officer-in-charge (OC) of Goland Ghat Police Station Mohammad Rakibul Islam, Investigation Uttam Kumar, Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Khokon Uzzaman, upazila education officer. Masudur Rahman, Upazila Women Affairs Officer Salma Begum, Upazila Social Services Officer Ruhul Amin, Upazila Youth Development Officer Fazlur Rahman, Medical Officer of Upazila Health Complex. Sharif Islam, medical officer Pradwip, former upazila freedom fighter commander Abdus Samad Molla, Aminul Islam Shafi and others.
Also, officials of various departments of the upazila, local journalists and dignitaries participated in the event. Organizers hope that this Victory Day event will play a special role in inspiring patriotism among the new generation by remembering the sacrifices and bravery of the freedom fighters.
