International Disaster Prevention Day was celebrated in Pangsha Upazila of Rajbari with the theme “Empowering the next generation, building a disaster resilient future”.
On Monday (October 14) at around 12 o’clock, the upazila administration and disaster management wing organized an earthquake and fire related rally and drill. A discussion meeting was held after the rally at the Upazila Parishad square.
Upazila Executive Officer (Acting) in the meeting Mohammad Masudur Rahman Rubel was present under the chairmanship of Pangsha Thana Officer-in-Charge Md Salauddin, Agricultural Officer Agricultural Officer Ratan Kumar Ghosh, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Aslam Hossain, Fisheries Officer Saeed Ahmed, Cooperative Officer Saiful Islam, Youth Development Officer Jahangir Alam, Social Service Officer Rabiul Alam, Fire Service Officer Royal Ahmed and others.
Also present on the occasion of Mitigation Day were various media workers of the upazila along with the leaders of voluntary organizations.
