Bangladesh Bank has informed that the name of Jamuna Bank Limited has been changed to ‘Jamuna Bank PLC’.
Bangladesh Bank’s Banking Regulations and Policy Department informed this information in a circular on Tuesday (October 10).
According to the provisions of Section 11A(a) of the Companies Act, 1994, the name of ‘Jamuna Bank Limited’ has been changed to ‘Jamuna Bank PLC’ in the list of scheduled banks from October 10.
In this regard, on Tuesday (October 10), Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank Abu Farah said. A notification signed by Nasser has been issued.
Bangladesh Bank informed that the name of ‘Jamuna Bank Limited’ under the Schedule of the country has been changed to ‘Jamuna Bank Plc’ with effect from October 10 under the powers conferred by Section 37 (2) (c) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 1972 (President’s Order No. 127 of 1972).Â
The central bank has sent instructions in this regard to the managing directors and chief executive officers of all scheduled banks operating in the country.
