Staff Reporter: A networking meeting on Gender Equality, Child Rights, MHM, Prevention of CEFM and GBV organized by Social Inclusion in the USEP Rajshahi Region under the Gender Responsive and Educational Vocational Education and Training (GRIVET) Project funded by Global Affairs Canada was held at Ranibazar Kebab House Hallroom in Rajshahi on Wednesday (February 12) at 11 am. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police of Rajshahi Sabina Yasmin was present as the chief guest at the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Md. Shahinul Islam, Regional Manager of the USEP Rajshahi Region and moderated by Md. Harun-or-Rashid, Team Leader of the Social Inclusive Department. Dr. F.A.M. Anjuman Ara Begum, Paba Upazila Youth Development Officer M.M.N. Zahurul Islam and Upazila Women Affairs Officer Mosa. Habiba Khatun, along with various GO and NGO officials, journalists and officials of various levels of the USEP Rajshahi region. At the meeting of the USEP Rajshahi region networking committee, Additional Deputy Police Commissioner Sabina Yasmin and all those present highly appreciated the activities of USEP and expressed their hope to cooperate in all activities in various ways. It is worth mentioning that the meeting discussed various issues related to the achievements and work plan of the USEP Rajshahi region for 2024 and the activities of the GRIVET project, including gender equality, child rights, ministerial health management, prevention of child early forced marriage and gender-based violence, and linkage and referral of vulnerable families including students undergoing training from USEP, and further engagement with the work agenda of USEP Bangladesh.
