NCP holds mass iftar in memory of injured and martyrs in Comilla

A mass iftar and discussion meeting was held in Comilla under the initiative of the National Citizens Party (NCP) in memory of the injured and martyrs of the 71st and 24th.
The mass iftar and discussion meeting was organized in the Changini area of ​​the metropolis on Wednesday (March 26) evening. Families and relatives of several martyrs of the July-August uprising participated in it. Thousands of ordinary people participated in the mass iftar.
The main speaker of the program was prominent social worker and educationist Abdul Haque. Shah Mohammad Selim, Managing Director of Eastern Medical College and Hospital and Chief Coordinator of the Conscious Political Forum, Udbatul Bari Abu, Convener of Comilla Metropolitan BNP, and Ashiqur Rahman Mahmud Wasim, Member Secretary of Comilla South District BNP, were present as special guests.
Bangladesh Democratic Students’ Union Joint Member Secretary Ziauddin Md. Rubel, Bangladesh Democratic Students’ Union Organizer Nur Alam Hasan, Comilla Metropolitan Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Joint Member Secretary Mahir Tajwar Ohi, Comilla District Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Organizer Farha Emdad, National Citizen Committee Member Nazmul Haque Jisan, Safe Road Movement Private University Representative Zahidul Haque Anik, and Anti-Discrimination Movement Active Member Zafarin Haque. The Iftar Mahfil was presided over by Abu Raihan, Convener of Comilla Metropolitan Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.
The program was hosted by prominent writer and cultural activist Tuhin Ahmed Prajonmo.
Abu Raihan, convener of the Comilla Metropolitan City Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and NCP leader, said, “We have freed the country from tyranny at the cost of a lot of blood. We will not let the fruits of the July-August Revolution be wasted in any way. We will continue to struggle to keep the country free from fascism. We will continue to work like an independent guard so that no new fascism is born.”
He further said, “We will move forward keeping in mind the memory of those who were injured and martyred in the movement to free the country from tyranny. They will remain our inspiration.”
He said that a social movement will be built against those who want to rehabilitate the Awami League.
