National Library Day-2024 was celebrated in Patuakhali University of Science and Technology with due dignity. On this occasion, 05 February, Monday morning at 10:00 am of the university Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Swadesh Chandra Samant inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon in front of the Central Library. At 10:10 a.m., the procession left in front of the central library and circled the main main road of the campus. At 10:15 a.m., Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. inaugurated the Digital Resource Access Center on the 2nd floor of the Central Library. Swadesh Chandra Samantha.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Swadesh Chandra Samant spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting under the chairmanship of Librarian Pankaj Kumar at TSC Auditorium at 10:30 am. In the speech of the chief guest, he said, the importance of library in learning and creating new knowledge should be highlighted. Along with the proper use of science and technology, students should visit the library regularly and spread the knowledge of the library to everyone. Speaking as a special guest at the meeting, Treasurer Professor Mohammad Ali said that it is very important to visit the library regularly to gain knowledge. Dr Md Nasir Uddin, Dean of Jatiya Bish Vidyalaya, internationally renowned librarian and information scientist, spoke as the keynote speaker on the occasion. Dean, chairman, teachers, officers, students and employees of various faculties of the university were present on the occasion.
