National Disabled Day, rally discussion meeting and distribution of supporting materials held

 “Participating together with people with disabilities will ensure the achievement of SDGs” – Keeping this theme in mind this time, the 32nd International Disability was organized by the District Administration, District Social Service Office and Disability Services and Aid Center – Dinajpur and with the cooperation of non-governmental development organizations working in Dinajpur on Sunday, November 3. On the occasion of the Day and 25th National Disabled Day-2023, colorful rallies, discussion meetings and distribution of supporting materials were held. District Social Service Office Assistant Director Moinul Islam led the colorful rally. At the end of the rally round the main main road of the city, a discussion meeting was held in the 6th floor auditorium of the Samajseva Complex building. Maynul Islam, Assistant Director of Social Services Office presided over the meeting.
District Disability Affairs Officer Md. Mehedi Hasan delivered the welcome speech. Assistant Director of Consumer Rights Act Implementation Department Momtaz Begum, City Social Service Officer Md. Mainul Islam, Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Asaduzzaman Asad, Probation Officer Rustom-e-Jahan, Sampriti Disability Development Organization Dinajpur President Tamjida Parveen Seema, Disability Development Dex. , DCA Dinajpur Assistant Anamika Pandey. Aleya Begum, Executive Director of Meghna Women and Child Development Organization, CDD Dinajpur Project Officer Shailen Chandra Roy, Social Services Colsultant Md. Nasim Ali, Headmaster of Dinajpur Intellectually Handicapped and Autistic School Md. Abul Shahdsad; Newaz, Leprosy Mission Project Coordinator Pradeep Roy, World Vision Program Manager Palash Krush and Jagrat Samaj Kalyan Sanstha Dinajpur President Afsana Imu. The speakers said that the government is working through social service to include the disabled in the mainstream of development. If we want to build a smart Bangladesh, we should not leave anyone behind, but move forward with everyone. In the efforts of the current government to be disability friendly, we have got a law implementing the protection rights of the disabled.
