Reproductive Health Care Orientation and Menstrual Hygiene Day and “Amar Jeeban Amar Swapna” for the purpose of ending child labor and sending children to school were held under the project of World Vision Bangladesh-Dinajpur Area Program. Syed Jahangir Alam, Mayor of Dinajpur municipality, spoke as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Md. Samiul Islam, President of Child Labor Monitoring Committee of No. 4 Sheikhpura UP, on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Dr. Md. Fazlur Rahman, supervisor of Dinajpur 250-bed general hospital, Md. Mahfuzur Rahman Bhuiyan, deputy inspector general of mill factory and establishment inspection directorate spoke as special guests. Under the lively supervision of World Vision-Dinajpur Child Labor Elimination Project Officer Richard Tapas Das and with the participation of Working Children, Children Forum, Youth Forum, Parents and Child Labor Monitoring Committee members, 6 menstrual hygiene preventive sanitary pads were distributed among the 307 female children present in the event. Napkins and chairs-tables were provided to 55 children among the students involved in hazardous child labour.
