A young woman left her Islam religion and embraced Hinduism due to love. At first her name was Tahmida Alam Khan, later she adopted Hinduism and changed her name to Jyoti Biswas. She is the daughter of Md. Samsul Alam Khan of Dattapara Hajimarket area of Gazipur Tongi, Dhaka.
It is reported that in 2018, he fell in love with Anik Kumar Biswas, son of Dulal Kumar Biswas of Ward No. 6 of Sajjankanda area of Rajbari municipality. Later they got married through a court affidavit. A lot of excitement has been created in the area about this issue.
It is reported that on June 16 (Friday) the girl’s father Md. Samsul Alam Khan and the girl’s brother came to Rajbari to pick up the girl. But the girl does not agree to go with them. Later, there was an argument and a fight between the two sides. At one point, when a call was made to the police station from the son’s house, the girl’s father and brother left before the police reached the spot. The girl’s father died of a stroke on the way.
It was revealed yesterday that both of them voluntarily got married out of love and affection according to themselves.
Jyoti Biswas said, in 2018, we came to visit my Nana’s house in Kazikanda, Rajbari, we met, then a love relationship developed. After four years of love, on 16th May 2023, we got married by court affidavit. We are fine. Last Friday, my father and brother came to pick me up. As I refused to go, there was a kind of chaos here, my mother-in-law, my husband got injured. If you call the police station, the police will come. I heard that my father died of a stroke on the way. My brother called me and said that I lost my father because of you, I will kill you wherever I find you. It presents a variety of threats.
Anik Biswas said that we got married because of our love relationship. I have made an affidavit. We got married voluntarily, not by force. I am now afraid that my wife’s elder brother is calling me and threatening me in various ways to kill me wherever he can. We filed a complaint at the police station.
Anik’s mother Shyamoli Rani Biswas said, I was not happy when my son brought the girl home. I agree to the request of the boy and the girl. They are minors, they voluntarily agreed to get married, finally I accepted.
SI Rocky of Rajbari Sadar police station who came to the spot said, “Brother and father came from her house to pick up the girl and went to the spot after getting a complaint that they had attacked the son’s house. I learned that the Muslim girl voluntarily married the Hindu boy Anik by affidavit through the court. I will see the documents later. The documents are correct. I also heard that the girl’s father died while returning to pick up the girl. Senior Officers of the police station are aware of the matter.
