Month-long basic training course for village police force members inaugurated in Pirojpur

A month-long basic training course for members of the village police force of the Union Parishad was inaugurated at the initiative of the National Institute of Local Government (NILG), Dhaka and under the management of the Pirojpur Sadar Upazila Administration.
The inauguration ceremony of the course was held at the Pirojpur Upazila Shaheed Omar Faruk Auditorium on Tuesday (April 8) at 11 am. The training course will start from April 8 and will continue till May 7, 2025.
NILG Director General (Grade-1) Md. Abdul Qayyum was virtually present as the chief guest at the event. Pirojpur Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashraful Alam Khan presided over the event.
Pirojpur Police Superintendent Khan Mohammad Abu Naser, Local Government Department Deputy Director Md. Sakhawat Hossain, Upazila Executive Officer Mamunur Rashid, and District Commandant (Ansar and VDP) Md. Ismail Hossain were present online as special guests.
The speakers said that through this training, village police members will be able to play a more efficient and effective role in maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and managing local government.
