Today, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Borhanuddin Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Centre. The Prime Minister inaugurated the Islamic Cultural Center and Model Mosque by connecting virtually from Ganobhaban today at 10 am. The event was presided over by the State Minister of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Faridul Haque Khan MP.
According to the information, 50 model mosques out of 564 model mosques of the country were inaugurated today in the 4th phase. In 2017, the government has taken a project of Tk 9 thousand 434 crores to establish Islamic cultural centers and model mosques in every district and upazila of the country. The project titled ‘Establishment of 564 Model Mosques and Islamic Cultural Centers’ (2nd Revised) in each district and upazila is till June 2024. Meanwhile, Phase 1 on 7 December 2021, Phase 2 on 16 January 2023 and Phase 3 on 16 March 2023.
 A total of 200 model mosques and Islamic cultural centers were inaugurated in the 4th phase on 17 April 2023.
In the opening ceremony of Borhanuddin Model Mosque of Bhola like the rest of the country, under the chairmanship of Borhanuddin Upazila Nirbahi Officer Naureen Haque, Member of Parliament of Bhola 2 Constituency Ali Azam Mukul MP  was present as the chief guest, Chairman of Borhanuddin Upazila Parishad Abul Kalam Azad, Upazila Awami League President Jasimuddin Hyder were present as special guests. , General Secretary Rafiqul Islam, Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Munni Islam, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Russell Ahmad Miah, Borhanuddin Thana Officer-in-Charge Monir Hossain Miah, Upazila Awami League Publicity Secretary Din Islam Rubel The chairman of various union councils, local Awami League leaders and activists of Islamic Foundation were present.
