The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a warning notice to the foreign nationals staying illegally in Bangladesh by 31 January 2025. Otherwise, legal action will be taken against those staying illegally and related institutions, the ministry said.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, through a warning notice in this regard today, has fixed the deadline for illegal foreign nationals to obtain legalization.
“It is hereby brought to the notice of all concerned that many foreign nationals are illegally staying/working in Bangladesh,” the notification said.
In such a situation, foreign nationals illegally residing/working in Bangladesh have been requested in the notification to obtain legalization with necessary documents to reside or work in Bangladesh by January 31, 2025. In this regard, all concerned departments/institutions have been requested to provide necessary cooperation in the notification.
The notification also informed that legal action will be taken against the illegal stayers and related institutions after this period has passed.
