Meeting to prevent violence against children in Shushilan in Lordhardinge

An exchange meeting on grassroots feedback on preventing violence against children and stopping child marriage was organized at Bhola’s Lalmohan.
On Wednesday (September 27) morning, this exchange meeting was held at the upazila’s Lord Hardinge Union Parishad meeting room under the initiative of the non-governmental organization Shushilan.
People’s representatives, Qazis, Ghataks, religious leaders, teachers, Ansar and local influential people participated in the exchange meeting.
At the beginning of the program, Sarah Lisa Khan, project officer of the Lalmohan branch of Shushilan, a private development organization, presented information and documentary images about the response received from the grassroots of the society to prevent violence against children and stop child marriage.
Lalmohan Upazila Awami League Vice President and UP Chairman Alhaj Abul Kashem Miah, UP Member Nazir Ahmed, Former UP Member Shahajan Miah, UP Secretary Mizanur Rahman, Tofazzal Haider, Lokman Sardar, Super Maulana Aliullah with Lord Hardinge Fazil Degree Madrasa, Russell Member, Shushilan’s community mobilizer Mustafa, Md. Nayan, Arif and many others were present.
Speakers said that people from all walks of life should take responsibility to prevent violence against children and stop child marriage.  To stop violence against children and child marriage, local public representatives and NGO workers should participate in the grassroots work.  It will reduce violence against children and child marriage.
