Mashiur Rahman Akon, a young generation icon and a defector from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), a victim of imprisonment in a false case, and a public-spirited politician, is at the top of the popularity ladder in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
He is a privileged son of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party(BNP) family. (Mashiur Rahman Akon has been involved in BNP politics since his student days. Mashiur Rahman Akon was subjected to prison torture, false cases, vandalism and looting while he was leading a movement against the authoritarian Sheikh Hasina and her cronies under the leadership and instructions of BAP acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
Yet he did not withdraw from politics and human service.
He has dedicated his entire life to serving humanity. He was a soldier who always protested against all injustices.
One who has embraced the truth and avoided lies. He has stood by the toiling, the hungry, the poor. One such person is Mashiur Rahman Akon.
Mashiur Rahman Akon told Shah Muhammad Suman Rashid, Amtali correspondent of Daily Bangladesh Khabor, “I have worked for the welfare of this country and its people all my life, I am still doing it, and I want to do it in the future as well. I want to keep myself engaged as a servant for this country and its people until my death. And to further advance this service, I am hoping for nomination as an uncompromising Zia soldier against all the injustices and irregularities of Barguna 1 constituency, Amtali, Taltali and Barguna in the next National Parliament election.
If I am nominated for every grain of rice, I will win the Barguna (1) constituency with a huge vote, InshaAllah. And I want to be a partner in development by strengthening the hands of Honorable Tarique Rahman.
Mashiur Rahman Akon further said, “I have 100 percent confidence in Honorable Tarique Rahman, if I am eligible, he will nominate me with the symbol of the rice sheaf.”
