Staff Reporter: A large number of people from different areas of Dhaka have started heading towards Suhrawardy Udyan to join the ‘March for Gaza’ mass gathering program. This has stopped traffic in and around Shahbagh. It seems that all the roads in the capital have merged into Suhrawardy Udyan due to the flow of people.
Popular Islamic speakers Mizanur Rahman Azhari, Sheikh Ahmadullah and Hasnat Abdullah took to the main stage of the March for Gaza at around 3 pm on Saturday (April 12) to express solidarity with the people of Palestine.
They were overwhelmed by the crowd as they went up to the main stage. They took part in the program’s procession after the Zuhr prayers at the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram.
In protest against Israel’s barbaric attack on the Palestinians, a ‘March for Gaza’ program has been organized at Dhaka’s Suhrawardy Udyan under the banner of ‘Palestine Solidarity Movement Bangladesh’. Several lakhs of people have come to the field to participate in it.
Meanwhile, Islamic scholar Dr. Mizanur Rahman Azhari said, to show solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza, I am currently on the way to the ‘March for Gaza’. You too can come to this procession of humanity with your loved ones.
Maulana Abdul Hai Mohammad Saifullah has called on his Facebook status, March for Gaza. 3 pm to 4 pm. The whole country should come out on the streets and show solidarity. Dhaka residents should offer water to the guests on the streets. Take pictures, make videos, post them on your ID.
