Manjurul was in love with Shahnaz, the young wife of an 80-year-old man in Rangpur. His friend Saddam also had an affair with the woman. After learning about this, Manjurul asked his friend to move away from this path. First request, later Shasal doesn’t work either. Thus friends become enemies due to three-way love. Finally, Manzurul removed Saddam from the world to remove the ‘fork in the path’. The murderer gave this information in a confessional statement to Rangpur Metro Police detectives and Hazirhat police station last Wednesday. The deceased is the son of deceased Tahir Uddin of Dhanipara village of Saddam Hazir police station. And Manjurul is the son of Nazrul Islam of the same village.
According to the police, Shahnaz is survived by a son and an 80-year-old husband. Her husband and son have been living alone for a long time. Manjurul used this opportunity. Almost every night he spent the night at Shahnaz’s house. Meanwhile, Saddam also went into exile with Shahnaz. On the day of the incident, Manjurul Shahnaz came out of the gate and saw Saddam standing in the yard with his native weapon. Later the two had an argument and at one point Shahnaz threw them both out of the house.
Later, Manzurul went to the empty place and suddenly snatched the spear from Saddam’s hand and beat Saddam. After confirming the death of Saddam, he left the body in a nearby rice field. Later, on June 26, the police recovered Saddam’s throat-slit body from the field. In this incident, a murder case was registered against unknown accused at Hazirhat Metropolitan Police Station on June 27. The case was arrested within 24 hours under the leadership of Additional Deputy Commissioner of Intelligence Shah Noor Alam Patwari and Assistant AC Pashuram Zone Al Imran and Rajab Ali Officers-in-Charge Hazir Hat Police Station with the full cooperation of Deputy Police Commissioner Abu Maruf. The police recovered the used dagger. Later, the police sent the arrested to the court.
