Mamunul Haque Urges Gen Z to Uphold Islamic Ideals at IU

The Amir of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis, Maulana Muhammad Mamunul Haque, has called on the young generation to uphold and promote Islamic values at Islamic University (IU) on Monday.
He said, “The Islamic University should play a significant role in keeping Islamic education and principles. If it fails to do so, its name should be reconsidered.”
He made these remarks during a discussion organized by Bangladesh Khelafat Chhatra Majlis at university’s Bot Tola.
The event was attended by Dr. A B M Siddiqur Rahman Asrafi, Dean of the Faculty of Theology; Dr. Muhammad Jahangir Alam, Treasurer; and Dr. Md. Obaidul Islam, Student Advisor, among others.
Mamunul Haque also said, “Our independence came through immense struggles against British rule, West Bengal, and West Pakistani dominance. In the same way, we must continue our efforts to uphold Islamic values in this country.”
“Gen Z has seen major transformations, from Digital Bangladesh to Smart Bangladesh. Now, we believe they aspire to see a nation rooted in Islamic ideals, advocating for an Islamic governance system.” he further said .
