(Sunday, April 20, 2025) In a joint operation by Bogra RAB-12 and Ashulia RAB-04, the main absconding accused in the murder case of brutally strangling Sifat (14) of Gabtoli Model Police Station, Md. Kamrul (32) was arrested from Savar.
Imran Hossain Hadu (35), father of Md. Hafiza, lives in the same area as victim Sifat (14) in Bogra Gabtoli, both of whom are relatives of Unchurkhi Uttarpara, Police Station-Gabtoli, District-Bogra. Since Hadu is of the third gender, he was unmarried and used to visit victim Sifat (14) occasionally due to his good relationship with her. Imran Hossain Hadu used to say that he would register the property he received from his ancestral sources to Sifat. Due to this, according to a previous plan, on 08/03/2025 at approximately 21.00 hours, Hadu’s family members brutally strangled Sifat (14) inside the bedroom of the 2nd accused Md. Imran Hossain Hadu of Unchurkhi Uttarpara village under Gabtali Municipality under Gabtali Police Station by wrapping a towel around his neck.
Later, the victim’s father filed a murder case at Gabtali Police Station in Bogra District. In continuation of this, today, on April 20, 2025, based on intelligence information, it is known that the absconding accused named in the complaint no. 01 of the mentioned murder case is staying in the Ganakbari area of ​​Ashulia Police Station in Dhaka District to escape arrest.
Based on the information, on the instructions of the RAB-12 Commander, at approximately 12.15 am on April 20, 2025, a joint operation team of RAB-12, CPSC, Bogra and RAB-04, CPC-2, Savar conducted a raid in the Ganakbari area under Ashulia police station of Dhaka district and was able to arrest the fugitive accused No. 01 in the murder case, named Md. Kamrul (32), father: Md. Montejar, son of Unchurkhi, Police Station: Gabtoli, District: Bogra.
In this regard, Bogra RAB-12 said in a press release that the arrested accused has been handed over to Gabtoli Police Station of Bogra district for further legal action.
