Police arrested a youth leader named Russell Mia (28) in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat.
On Sunday (November 19) this information was confirmed by Kaliganj police station officer-in-charge (OC) Imtiaz Kabir.
The arrested Russell Mia is the son of deceased Abdul Bached Ali of Sialkhowa area of Chalbala Union of Upazila. He is the Vice President of Chalbala Union Youth Party.
OC Imtiaz Kabir said that in the name of blockade, there is a case against Russell Mier on various charges including creating sabotage, burning tires on the road and raising anti-government slogans. He was arrested on a tip-off at his house on Saturday night.
