Rokeya Day was celebrated at Shivram Adarsh Public School, Lalmonirhat. On Monday, December 9 evening, on the occasion of the noble woman Begum Rokeya Day, the pioneer of women’s awakening, a felicitation ceremony, meritorious assembly, distribution of awards, awarding of certificates to scholarship students and a cultural program of dance and song were held by the young students.
Former upazila chairman of Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila Parishad AKM Mominul Haque was present as the chief guest at the felicitation ceremony presided over by the school’s president Aminur Islam. Advocate Anjuman Ara Shapla, former female vice chairman of the upazila, was also present at the time. On this occasion, 78 scholarship students of Shivram Adarsh Public School were given scholarship certificates.
At the end of Gunijan’s felicitation ceremony, a wonderful cultural program was organized by the young students of Shivram Adarsh Public School. Anjuman Ara Lata, head teacher of the school, teachers, students and parents were present on the occasion.
