Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital’s medicine theft arrest one

Sakhawat Hossain Labu (34) was arrested by local people while stealing saline from Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital.  On Wednesday (December 20th) at noon, while he was carrying a bag full of saline, the locals arrested him red-handed from the main gate of the hospital.  Later, the police came and arrested him along with the medicine and took him to the police station.  Detained son of Afzal Hossain of Saptana area of ​​Labu municipality.
Onlookers said, Labu was bringing a bag from inside the hospital.  When he was suspected, local people arrested him in front of the main gate of the hospital.  Meanwhile, they recovered government saline, which is prohibited for sale, from inside the bag.  Later they brought him to Ramzan Ali, the caretaker of the hospital.  In the initial interrogation, the witness found evidence and handed him over to the police.
Sakhawat Hossain Labu, who was detained at the time, confessed his guilt and said, “He has been buying government saline, medicine and expensive injections from some nurses, including nurse Sumitra Rani, who has been working at the hospital for a long time. He bought these medicines at a low price and sold them at different drug stores and clinics at good prices.  He said that he did.
However, Sumitra Rani, a staff nurse on duty at the hospital, denied the allegations and said, ‘I was not on duty at the hospital today.  I did not sell any saline.
In this regard, Ramzan Ali, the supervisor of the hospital, said that the local people arrested one person with 15 packets of (liquid) saline and handed them over to the police.  The hospital is preparing to file a complaint with the police.  He also said that action will be taken after investigating whether the detained saline belongs to the hospital or not and who is involved.
