Lalmonirhat Protest rally against irregularities in employee recruitment at Judge’s Court

A protest rally and protest march have been held demanding the cancellation of illegal recruitment and punishment of officials who made corrupt appointments at the Lalmonirhat District and Sessions Judge’s Court on allegations of irregularities, nepotism, corruption and recruitment business.
On Thursday (April 17), conscious citizens held this protest, rally and protest march in front of Hamar Bari office at Mission More in Lalmonirhat town.
It is learned that the court issued a notification for the recruitment of 24 manpower, including 14 people for the post of computer operator cum typist, 4 people for the post of issuer and 6 people for the post of office assistant. The written examination for the post of computer operator cum typist, office assistant and issuer was held on February 28. The post of operator was held on March 4 and the remaining two posts were held on March 5. The authorities announced the results on March 5 and issued the appointment letters on the same day and joined the same day.  The conscious civil society alleged that the aides of the dictatorship were appointed through nepotism, rampant corruption and money exchange in these appointments. A press conference was held in a hotel in the city on April 13.
At the rally, the convener of the conscious civil society, Zainul Anul Abedin Swapan, said that all 24 posts were appointed through corruption and nepotism. According to additional conditions, they have been asked to join with physical fitness and police verification certificates. Asking how those appointed outside the district collected this information in such a short time, he said that the entire process was predetermined.
He also said that after the program and miking were done earlier, the District and Sessions Judge Court issued a notification regarding the suspension of the appointment on March 8. The suspension of the appointment has proven the fact of resorting to corruption, recruitment trade and nepotism. The order was reinstated without heeding the suspension order, which is regrettable.
Afzal Hossain, one of the members of the conscious civil society, said that he demanded that this appointment be canceled and the appointment notification be published again.  Corrupt officials in the recruitment process should be identified and punished.
Abu Fattah, administrative officer of the District Judge Court, said that he has nothing to say about this. The court authorities will not say anything either.
Meanwhile, the protest procession started from the Hamarbari office, passed through the DC office and the Judge Court, and ended at the same place.
