Lakhs of people have flocked to the mahfil of the country’s popular debater Dr. Mizanur Rahman Azhari.
Popular Islamic speaker and debater Dr. Mizanur Rahman Azhari arrived in Lalmonirhat by helicopter from Dhaka to attend the mahfil. At this time, lakhs of eager people thronged various alleys of Lalmonirhat to see him and listen to his discussion.
He arrived by helicopter at the Sheikh Shafi Uddin Commerce College ground in the district town at 1:30 pm today, Saturday (January 18). The historic Tafsirul Quran mahfil started in the morning. Local Islamic speakers and debaters discussed in the first session. Local BNP and Jamaat leaders also spoke.
Rangpur Divisional Central Organizing Secretary and BNP President Principal Asadul Habib Dulu spoke as the chief guest at the mahfil.
Then at 2 pm, Dr. Mizanur Rahman Azhari took to the stage at Lalmonirhat Railway Shaheed Suhrawardy Field and began his speech.
This historic mahfil organized by Lalmonirhat Islamic Society was presided over by prominent businessman Abdul Hakim. He said that with the arrival of popular Islamic speakers including Azhari Huzur, lakhs of religious devotees have flocked to Lalmonirhat. Even religious people from different districts have started coming a day in advance.
In this regard, Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station’s Acting Investigation Officer (OC) Badal Kumar said, popular Islamic speaker Azhari Huzur reached Lalmonirhat by helicopter. Joint forces are working for his overall security. In addition, along with the police, the entire district town has been covered with security blankets in plain clothes. About five hundred law enforcement forces continued to provide security. This mahfil was completed without any kind of chaos. Moreover, the volunteers who are in charge also worked sincerely.
