A rider named Abul Kalam (48) was killed in a head-on collision between two motorcycles in Patgram Upazila of Lalmonirhat.
The accident occurred on Sunday (November 17) morning in Dhabalsati Rahmanpur Hajiganj Kaltapara area of ​​Patgram Union of the upazila.
The deceased Kalam is the son of Afzal Hossain of Panbari area of ​​the upazila. Police and locals said that Kalam was going from his home to his workplace in Ufamara Kamarerhat.
When he reached the spot, he could not see him due to the dense fog and collided head-on with another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction. Kalam was thrown out and seriously injured.
Locals rescued him and took him to Patgram Upazila Health Complex, where the doctors on duty declared him dead.
Patgram Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Asaduzzaman confirmed the incident and said that the body has been handed over to the family as there are no complaints.
