The fire service recovered the body of a teenager named Rifat Hossain (15) from the pond a day after he went missing in Patgram upazila of Lalmonirhat. His body was recovered from a pond in Bangerbari Kanthaltali area of ​​Srirampur Union of the upazila on Monday (May 22) afternoon. He is the son of Abdus Sattar of that village.
Patgram Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Omar Farooq said Rifat took the cow to a pond next to the house to bathe it. After the bath, the cow returned home but she disappeared. After finding no trace of him throughout the night, they informed the Patgram Fire Service on Monday afternoon, they raided the pond and recovered Rifat’s body. OC Omar Farooq also said that since there was no complaint in this incident, the body was allowed to be buried.
