The budget of Lalmonirhat Municipality for the fiscal year 2023-24 has been announced at Tk 23 crore 35 lakh 19 thousand 1. On Saturday (June 17) morning, Municipal Mayor Rezaul Karim Swapan formally presented the budget income and expenditure and various developments in the municipal hall room.
Municipal Mayor said that the revenue income for the implementation of the budget has been estimated at 9 crore 77 lakh 18 thousand 248 taka and the income of water supply and development (including projects) has been estimated at 13 crore 94 lakh 87 thousand 296 taka.
It includes, as revenue sectors, house and land tax, immovable property transfer tax, trade license and vehicle license fee, various license fees, lease of haat-bazaar, bus terminal and public toilets, building approval and land measurement fee, roller rent, welfare fund. Donations are mentioned.
In addition, as expenditure sectors, salaries and allowances of officials and employees, cleanliness activities, solid and solid waste management, flood mitigation, street lights, electricity and fuel bills, development of cemeteries and crematories, park construction and beautification, poverty reduction and gender action plan. Implementation, construction of roads and drains, mobile maintenance, purchase and repair of motor vehicle parts, water supply, improvement of standards of literary culture and sports including celebration of international and national days, stationery and office management, mosquito control, payment to Freedom Fighters Welfare Fund, treatment Services, financial donations etc. are mentioned.
Municipal Mayor Swapan said, we are continuing all-out activities to make our municipality a clean, green, self-reliant and smart city with the overall cooperation and advice of citizens of all classes and professions. Keeping this goal in mind, I have taken various steps since assuming responsibility.
